How does your selection arrive and with what expectations for this Eurohockey2018?
The Italian national team has prepared very well for the European Championship of A Coruña, with great professionalism. We come from two Europeans with a gold and a silver medal, so the goal is to compete as best as possible and, in any case, to come up with options to fight for the medals.
How will your style of play be?
In recent years, Italy has found a very competitive style as shown by the latest results, but we try to present ourselves with a faster and more productive game intensity year after year in order to reach the level of Spain, Portugal or Argentina.
What are you based on or what do you value most to select your players?
The personality of a team is measured by defensive and offensive balance. So, in the choice of players, in addition to the individual technical qualities, one must consider the adaptation of each one to know how to carry out the two phases (attack and defense) and to benefit the team.
Which is your favorite selection to win the Eurohockey in A Coruña?
Surely Spain, the current world champion and who also plays in his country, although Portugal is the current European champion. This seems the most predictable according to the precedents with which each one arrives, but as you already know, the sport is not an exact science.
